Gabriella Santini is an anthropologist working in Kenya. Her work often explores themes of political ecology, land territorialization, and multispecies entanglements.


Her fieldwork is grounded in participatory, collaborative, and experimental approaches.


Gabriella is a PhD candidate in the Department of Anthropology at UCL, where her research focuses on Maasai engagement with the savannah ecosystem and the implications of colonial land and conservation policies in shaping how people relate to and imagine their environment. Her research is funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), the Royal Anthropology Institute (RAI), and the Parkes Foundation. 


She is based between London and Nairobi.
